Do you remember your first time?
“I don't want to repeat my innocence. I want the pleasure of losing it again.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise
Do you remember your first time? No, not that first time—but the first time you dared to peek inside a “sealed section.” Maybe it was a magazine you hid under your bed, a book you borrowed from an older sibling, or sneaking into an uncut edit of a film with a restricted rating your folks probably wouldn’t have approved of. That thrill of curiosity, the heightened awareness of your own reactions, the rush of seeing something that felt secret, maybe even a bit forbidden. Remember that?
For so many of us, that first glimpse into the “sealed section” was a kind of rite of passage. It sparked a curiosity about the world that wasn’t always on display—ideas, questions, and stories that made us feel a little more grown-up, a little more in on life’s mysteries.
So here’s my question to you: What was your first “sealed section” experience?
Was it a magazine that dared to go where others didn’t, or a movie scene that you weren’t quite old enough for but watched anyway, wide-eyed and intrigued? Whatever it was, I’d love for you to share your story.
What were you reading, watching, or discovering?
How did it make you feel?
And—did you ever get caught?
Tell me your story in the comments—let’s take a little trip down memory lane together. And who knows? You might just spark someone else’s memory too.

I remember the little diagrams of crazy intricate sex positions and how far away they were from anything connected to reality at that age!
